I think not. Golen...Did you really read the book? I think not. Golenbock has long been one of my favorite writers, but this book broke my heart. He has Denny McClain leading the Tigers to the 1984 pennant (McClain retired in 1972) and he has the Phillies winning the World Series in 1981 (the Dodgers won it that year). All I can conclude is that Golenbock was in a such a rush to meet a publisher's deadline he was writing everything off the top of his head. And Wiley (the publisher) was too cheap to hire any editors or fact checkers.
