IN ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA

From 1925 to 1935, Babe Ruth travelled to St. Petersburg, Florida - the "Sunshine City" - to get in shape for Spring Training and the season ahead. During these years, the Babe golfed, fished, and celebrated his birthday, all of which was covered by major newspapers all around the country. He also contributed unprecedented amounts of time, appearances, and funds, to St. Pete charities and civic organizations.
This year (on February 6, 7 and 8, 2025) there will be (3) days of celebrations and commemorations of the Sunshine City's most famous seasonal resident held around the city. Because of who you are, you are specially invited. Babe Ruth's Family will be there, too. Here is the schedule:

Babe Ruth's Grandson throws out the opening pitch in a Babe Ruth Centennial Game between the World Renowned Kids and Kubs and the City Hall Stars (featuring the Mayor and City Council.) Babe Ruth was well known to the Kids and Kubs, occasionally served as a base umpire for their ball games, and was inducted as an Honorary Member of the team. Lou Gehrig, Bob Feller, Hank Greenberg, Lefty Gomez, Pepper Martin, and Connie Mack also all played with the team.
A new statue of Babe Ruth will be unveiled at this game.
Three generations of the Ruth Family will be at the game.

Parade and Post-Parade Party
Per the attached brochure image, there will be a Parade and Post-Parade party tributing the Babe's prominent history in "the Jungle" of West St. Pete. A parade and party will take place on the site of the old Jungle Club Hotel Golf Course, where Babe played many hundreds of rounds of golf, and at the former "Jungle Prada Gangplank" (now the JP Tavern), the renowned Roaring Twenties nightclub where he and famously dined, danced and partied, and - rumor has it - was married.
