New York Yankees Postgame Alert for July 7

Sabathia shined as the Yankees defeated the Twins in Minnesota. The Yankees amassed 16 hits with their 10 runs in the 10-2 win. Sabathia moved to 8-5 on the season and the Yankees move back to 15 games over .500. The next goal has to be 20 games over .500. With the Red Sox winning as well, the Yankees remain 1 game back in the AL East. Cano finally had a hit with runners in scoring position but he continues to struggle at the plate. Teixiera had 4 hits and his bat continues to be hot. The Yankees need to continue to stay hot on this long road trip before the All-Star break. Go Yankees! It would be great to move into the lead in the AL East before the break and have the 2nd best record in baseball behind Joe Torre's Dodgers.
